Marlon Upholstered Bed

The Marlon Upholstered Bed by Cattelan Italia, designed by Archirivolto in 2019, is built around a dramatically scaled headboard whose all-over pleating creates a rich, tactile surface that draws the eye immediately on entering the room. Rather than sitting beside the bed, the nightstands are drawn into the headboard composition, embraced within the structure and presented as a seamless extension of the design. The solid ashwood frame, available in Canaletto walnut or burned oak, appears to float beneath the upholstered body, lending the piece a sense of visual lightness despite its generous scale. The headboard is available in Cattelan Italia's full range of fabric, micro nubuck, synthetic leather, soft leather, and glove soft leather, with an extensive palette spanning neutrals, earthy tones, and deeper accent shades. Six configurations accommodate a range of mattress widths. Slats are included.
