Il Loft, an Italian company located in Gallarate which is just west of Milano, was created in 1994 by Giorgio Saporiti after he had spent decades working as co-owner of Saporiti Designs and after he had spent 15 years collaborating with Ottavio Missoni on all kinds of projects.

The success of this brand hinges on the guarantee of quality mixed with fine and creative design. We have experienced this first hand – they are quick to respond to any request and eager to please any and all of their customers. The passion and love for color that has always characterized Saporiti’s work is so evident in Il Loft.

The factory is filled with a team of specialized craftsmen able to work with wood, plastics, fabrics and foam. They are able to bring to life all of the ideas that flow from the brain of Saporiti. No mean feat! His designs are daring and yet with his exquisite touch with color he manages to make his product flow and sing. One of his most famous pieces – the Super Roy Sectional – can be a snaking line stretching in a hotel lobby or a sophisticated two seater in your living room. The application of different fabrics, textures and colors all on the same piece are what Il Loft is famous for. Elena transformed our favorite little mouse’s appearance with chromatic contrasts and glossy and matte effects. The sculpture was manufactured by Bosa, a company with a history of excellence made in Italy in the field of ceramics.

The Plinsky Coffee Table is another of Giulio Mancini triumphs. First designed in 2007 it continues to be among his most sought-after and striking pieces. Its bold, asymmetrical base creates a unique architectural design, folding over the glass top, as if to caress its surface. The Plinksy Coffee Table is available in chrome or white base finishes, topped in thick, tempered glass.

About the Designer
Many famed Italian furniture designers first trained as architects or industrial designers, infusing their furniture with an architectural aesthetic while still providing sleek functionality.
After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bologna, Giulio Mancini became involved in an industrial design project through Marco Gaudenzi, sparking his enthusiasm for the industry. Giulio later worked with design firm Acanto, and established relationships with one of Europe’s most important players, providing industrial design for in-car stereo systems for the likes of Steg, Aloia, 
and Boston Acoustics.

In 2002, Giulio Mancini began his partnership with graphic designer Nicola Sancisi, with whom he established the studio Nettodesign in Pesaro. Today, Mancini’s unique modern furniture creations are still reproduced by skilled glass craftsmen by Tonelli Design in Pesaro, Italy.

Illuminating the homes of Hollywood stars and famous musicians, as well as boutique hotels across the globe, the Morning Glory Floor Lamp is truly in its glory this year, as it celebrates a quarter of a century of lasting design. Designed by Creative Director Albi Serfaty, the founder of Aqua Creations, the silk and metal sculptural lamps truly shine, whether they are on or off. Aqua Creations was established in Tel Aviv in 1994 by design team Albi, and her husband Ayala, with the goal of bringing true artistry to light.

“We’ve hand made over 4,000 Morning Glory lamps in our atelier over the last 25 years, and each is as unique today as our very first prototype.

“Originally we didn’t use any laser cutting technology, so each Morning Glory was completely individual and had its own personality. It was very primitive in a way, and the design at the time used only incandescent lamp bulbs – very simple electricity.

“Now it is more sophisticated: the base has become thinner and the opening wider to create a more sensual silhouette. We still make every Morning Glory floor lamp by hand, and our special Live and Let Dye technology means we can dye its silk shade any color or pattern. This makes it personal, fresh and relevant.

“Its size, shape, materials and the wonderful soft light it produces make it the ultimate floor lamp. We recently refurbished one of the very first lamps we ever sold, and even though it was 25 years old, it still worked perfectly. We just updated it with a new silk shade. Now it’s set for another 25 years.”

Born in Montreal, Canada, Joel Dupras has become known in the design world for the product lines he designs for the bedroom and dining room. Although a young designer, 37, Dupras has proved himself in the industry as he’s acquired extensive expertise in modular storage design for the home. In 2008, he founded a firm called Joël Dupras Designer and started working with several companies like Foliot Furniture, creating collections for the hospitality industry. 

In 2011, he joined the Huppé team as Designer and Art Director and this relationship has had a positive influence on the company and is largely the reason for the growth of Huppé in recent years. His collections for the bedroom, home office and dining room, all explore different species of wood and new materials while his minimalist approach and contemporary design balance proportion and functionality beautifully. Plank Bed
Plank is another collection of the stylish Huppé product line and is constructed entirely of gorgeous North American birch.
