If your home is feeling dull and wilted after the long summer, then you’ll love what we’ve got in store for you. We’re highlighting small changes that can make a big difference in your home, helping you refresh your space so you can fall back in love with it.
Decor can be enhanced by rugs, accessories, and artwork. These have huge potential for changing the energy of a space without swapping furniture or redoing the walls and fixtures. Simple changes and small touches can really bring a space together.
Refreshingly Different
Our first offering is the Nourison Prismatic Seaglass Rug. Sure, it’s slightly larger than what is normally termed a ‘small touch’ but it’s a great way to breathe life and into a space that’s gone stale. With a colorful but neutral color palette, this rug is exciting without becoming overbearing, capable of blending in with existing furnishings. A remarkably comfortable wool/Luxcelle blend provides durability and a lovely texture.
Refreshing decor pieces don’t always have to be big or even entirely functional. Glass Studio Borowski’s artful Chameleon Bowl is one such example. Creating a whimsical atmosphere, this colorful and bold decorative bowl provides plenty of charm and is sure to spark a conversation or a smile as it brightens the mood of your space.
Speaking of visual and artistic elements, we can’t omit this wonderful piece of Steve Snider Artwork. This lovely piece is a photographic print of a wall of hearts by the artist, an exciting piece that’s bold, colorful, and—dare we say it—heartwarming. Visual art always makes a splash and can really change the vibe of a room.
We recently got new Nourison Throw Pillows and they’re all wonderfully bold, fun, irreverent, and playful. These pillows feature a variety of playful, cool designs that catch the eye and tempt a smile. Throw pillows are a great way to change the mood in the living room, and it’s easy to throw a few on a couch or chair.
If you’re not botanically-inclined or don’t want to keep replacing living flowers, silk flowers are a great alternative. Some Orchid, Tree, or Tropical Purple silk and polymer plants are great for building a slightly more green and organic atmosphere without dealing with the mess of dead leaves and dropped pollen.
Changing Spaces
Getting a new impression out of an old space can be as easy as a couple of careful decor changes. Rearranging your furniture is also a good way to make a space less stale and more exciting. Changing the flow of your home could even be possible by swapping your living and dining rooms, for instance.
Small changes can have a big impact on the way we read a room. A splash of color here, or new accessories there, can have as much impact as changing chairs or moving in a new sofa. You really don’t have to buy all-new furnishings to get an all-new impression from your space.
