Potocco was founded in 1919 in the city of Friuli, within Italy’s “Chair Triangle” in the province of Udine. Domenico Potocco started out building chairs in a warehouse, and the business he created has steadily expanded over almost 100 years. It has now exhibited over 50 times in the annual International Furniture Fair in Milan.
Potocco produces 40 distinctive, contemporary product lines, including Ad Box (cabinetry), Nest (lighting), and Pillow (padded seating). Its offerings range from beds to sun loungers, coffee tables to barstools. Its luxury, retail and naval collections are characterized by creativity, high end materials and minute attention to detail.
The company collaborates with leading designers from across Western Europe and Scandinavia, including Ellen Bernhardt, Davide Gallo and This Weber, plus design collectives like Lemongras and Busetti Garuti Redaelli. In 2015. Potocco merged with Accademia, adding Accademia’s sharper, more minimalist products to the Potocco roster.
Still family owned, Potocco is currently in the hands of Domenico’s great-grandson, CEO Antonino Potocco.
