Unless Modular Bookcase

Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, the Unless bookcase explores the power of repetition. Regular, symmetrical geometry and a simple slot-in mechanism let one basic module be combined into structures that expand easily in width and height, creating a reassuring sense of order. The invisible fixing system and distinctive interlocking shelves and sides give the bookcase a subtle, minimal presence that blends naturally into its setting. Compositions can be fixed to the wall, a side, or the ceiling, and can be extended up to five modules wide and eight modules high, depending on the fixing method. The bookcase also works as a striking room divider, and small drawers can be added to the lower modules. The structure is built from FSC-certified Sistemi Giorno components.
