Sklar Furnishings partnered with the Alina developers, ELAD, and architectural design team, Garcia and Stromberg, to furnish the common areas of Alina 210, the second tower in the prestigious Alina Residences development in Boca Raton.

With trust already established through the success of Alina 200, Sklar was brought in at the very beginning of the process—an approach that shaped the outcome in both design and execution.

Shaping the Vision from Day One

Linda Paton worked closely with the developers and architects from pre-construction through delivery, helping define the look and feel of the space, ensuring harmony between the building’s architecture and its interiors.

“Unlike typical commercial projects where furniture is an afterthought, Alina 210 was envisioned with Sklar’s furnishings from the very beginning. Every material, finish, and floor plan was thoughtfully curated with our furniture to create a cohesive design aesthetic.”

Alina 210 included all of the amenity spaces: the lobby, work lounge, elevator lounge, outdoor pool area and the spa. Over the two-and-a-half-year project, the Sklar team participated in walkthroughs and design reviews, adapting and refining plans as construction progressed.

During walkthroughs, the team remained attentive to how each space would be experienced by residents, and they continued refining details to complete the final look. One of many small but meaningful adjustments came in the work lounge, where the installed bench seating called for an added layer of warmth. The Sklar team swiftly collaborated with a trusted partner to design custom cushions—deliberately chosen to soften the aesthetic and enhance the welcoming atmosphere.

A Contemporary Luxury Palette with Global Craftsmanship

The design brief for Alina 210 called for a high-end, modern contemporary, warm look—clean, sophisticated, and timeless. Sklar was able to specify furnishings from some of the most renowned European manufacturers.

Selections included sculptural pieces by Il Loft, refined wood and upholstery from Potocco, and elegant silhouettes from Ditre Italia and Dellarobbia. Together, these brands brought a depth of texture and design continuity that elevated the building’s public spaces and set the tone for the entire residence.

Seamless Execution Through Collaboration

Throughout the process, open communication between Sklar, the developer, and the architect design group, ensured that decisions were efficient and effective. Any unforeseen issues, such as production delays or late-stage adjustments, were resolved quickly through trusted vendor relationships and creative problem solving—hallmarks of Sklar’s service model.

“What could have turned into a problem, we stepped in, resolved it quickly, and got everything back on track—just like we always do.”

—Linda Paton, VP of Customer Experience

The successful execution of Alina 210 underscores what’s possible when trust, experience, and design alignment come together. Starting with furniture as a foundation rather than an afterthought helped us create spaces that feel intentional and enduring.
