From Guest Room to Flex Room

Giving more purpose to your guest room is something well worth considering. Turning it into a flex room means you can use it to support your daily life instead of having it sit empty. It can also open possibilities in other rooms.

Flex rooms can be media rooms, home gyms, home offices, even rec rooms when they’re not hosting guests. Due to the huge amount of flexible furnishings available, flex rooms can do it all in style!

Home Media Room

The media room is probably the most popular flex room. When guests are gone, you can convert your sleeper back to seating and get some quality movie or show binging time in. As well making your media room a flex room means getting the TV out of the living room.

We love the Adalyn Comfort Sleeper, from American Leather, for a media flex room. With plentiful upholstery options in leather and fabric, it’s aesthetically pleasing and supremely comfortable seating for watching shows or movies, and its low armrests are perfect pillows for daybed use or when you want to take a nap.

Unfolded as a bed, the Adalyn is perfect for guests and offers many elite mattresses to provide sumptuous sleep to your guests.

Home Office

The flex office is a great idea if you don’t always need a dedicated home office. Turning the guest room into a flex office isn’t hard and some great pieces can make it ideal for you and for guests. The BDI Centro desk is elegant and minimalistic with plenty of surface space for working or for guests to organize their stuff. Since it’s a lift desk, you can work at it seated or standing for that healthy flex!

Tiny Tables

If you’re going to make a home gym in your flex room, the workout shouldn’t start while you’re clearing space for yoga poses! Even if your guest room is a media room or office, there’s a lot of benefits to using smaller, lighter tables. The BDI Milo and Bink are easy to move, aesthetically attractive, and can be used for drinks, work, or to set up a workout anywhere.

Flex Games Room

Flex rooms don’t always have to be guest rooms. Thanks to the innovative work Fusiontables have done, your Billiard Dining Table can double as a pool table! An Easy Lift system can effortlessly change the table’s height from a comfortable dining level to a level playing field, and top-notch material options, and standard Simonis cloth, make these delightful tables for dining and playing!

Staying Flexible

With the increased focus on staying home and being safe, spending time with close friends and family, and working from home, the flex room will become more and more important as time goes on. Fortunately, that’s a great thing for you, your visitors, and your home’s functionality.
