The Smatrik Chair, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for Kartell, redefines contemporary seating with its lightweight, airy form inspired by a 3D lattice structure. Its innovative design creates the illusion of depth and transparency, giving the chair a sculptural presence while maintaining functionality. Smatrik is both elegant and practical, designed for comfort and versatility in dining rooms, offices, or outdoor spaces. Recognized for its innovative approach, the chair received the ADI Design Index Innovation Award in 2019, confirming its place as a modern design icon.
Crafted from sustainable materials, the Smatrik is produced using polycarbonate 2.0, derived from renewable resources in the pulp and paper industry, ensuring an environmentally conscious construction without sacrificing durability. The chair’s base options, ranging from chrome-plated steel to painted finishes or outdoor-ready stainless steel, expand its versatility across interior and exterior applications. Smatrik is offered in a wide selection of transparent and opaque colors, ensuring a tailored fit for any aesthetic.
