SkLO is a Northern California–based design studio and glassblowing workshop that creates modern lighting and accessories drawn from Czech glass traditions. Each piece is handblown in the Czech Republic using heritage techniques and offered with custom glass colors, uniting timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Founded in 2009 by designers and craft enthusiasts Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak, SkLO champions the rich legacy of Czech glassblowing in modern applications. With their California-based studio working in tandem with Czech hot shops, the team emphasizes authentic craftsmanship, embracing subtle imperfections in each lamp, tumbler, and accessory.
