Making the Most of Mirrors

Mirrors are an amazing interior design element that are easy to overlook. Perhaps that’s because they can be a bit disorienting when overused, but rest assured, if you use them right you will notice a great difference, from having more light to making a space feel a bit more expansive.

Choosing the Perfect Stool

Ever wondered about the difference between types of stools? Wonder no more! We’re diving in so you never have to mismatch a stool and surface ever again.

Counter stools typically have a seat between 24 and 27 inches high, suitable for counter-height tables from 35 to 39 inches, or as the name suggests, kitchen counters.

Bar stools are taller, with a seat from 28 to 33 inches high to match the traditional bar height from 40 to 43 inches. They also work for taller tables and counters and are most common at restaurants, bars, and in office break rooms.

Compare both to your average chair, which is 16 to 23 inches high, and you’ll see why (unless you’re tall) matching the right stool to the right surface is so important. So before you choose that perfect stool, make sure you measure the table or countertop where you’ll be using it.
