Born in Montreal, Canada, Joel Dupras has become known in the design world for the product lines he designs for the bedroom and dining room. Although a young designer, 37, Dupras has proved himself in the industry as he’s acquired extensive expertise in modular storage design for the home. In 2008, he founded a firm called Joël Dupras Designer and started working with several companies like Foliot Furniture, creating collections for the hospitality industry.
In 2011, he joined the Huppé team as Designer and Art Director and this relationship has had a positive influence on the company and is largely the reason for the growth of Huppé in recent years. His collections for the bedroom, home office and dining room, all explore different species of wood and new materials while his minimalist approach and contemporary design balance proportion and functionality beautifully.
