At Sklar Furnishings, we recognize the importance of protecting our planet’s future for generations to come. We proudly partner with a non-profit organization here in our Community, called Community Greening.

Creating a Sustainable Future: Community Greening’s Vision

Community Greening is a non-profit that plants trees and shrubs in urbanized areas, so that everyone can benefit from green spaces and enjoy the environmental benefits they bring. They plant an array of different species, focusing on fruit-bearing trees and shade trees, to feed, provide habitat, and beautify areas. Through their collective efforts, they are working towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

We honor their mission by pledging a donation on a monthly basis.We love the fact that through our partnership with Community Greening, we are directly helping our local communities. We also believe it sets a great example and inspires our customers to make positive environmental commitments in their own communities.

Restoring the Environment One Tree at a Time

Dedicated to protecting our environment, Community Greening has planted over 18,200 trees with the help of more than 11,000 volunteers and sponsors from West Palm Beach to Deerfield Beach. The trees help clean air and water, reduce energy costs, increase property values, improve health and well-being, and generate business.

Planting Trees with Community Greening

Community Greening is giving local teens the opportunity to learn about green jobs, as well as educating the public about the benefits of tree planting. They are planting trees on school campuses and playgrounds to cool and clean the air, and are even offering free trees to residents during tree giveaways.
